Once again, Flexaseal’s Matt Jensen will be attending the AALSO Symposium to meet and exchange ideas with world-class aquatic life support operators, professionals and industry leaders.
In addition to exhibiting in Booth #109 (strategically placed right next to the main entry into the vendor hall!), Matt will be conducting a workshop on Mechanical Seal Theory and Installation Protocols. This “seal school” workshop is filling up fast so please book your spot today!
Three Things to Expect From Flexaseal at the 2016 AALSO Symposium
1. New Product Offering to Simplify Installation
Flexaseal now offers a two-piece fully split cartridge mechanical seal for Fybroc® pumps that requires no pump disassembly to install. When your old seal is pulled from the pump, your technician will simply install a solid adapter to the Fybroc®, which will enable easy installation of our split cartridge mechanical seal from that point forward without any future disassembly. From there on out, it only takes 8 shoulder bolts for a simple and successful seal installation! Sounds too good to be true? Come see for yourself – we will have a hands-on demonstration stand set up in the booth.
2. Metal Bellows Cartridge Seal Specifically for Aquarium Applications
Join us for an in-depth look at our corrosion-resistant metal bellows cartridge seal designed specifically for marine applications. The RBX cartridge seal was designed to fit Fybroc ® pumps most commonly found in aquariums and zoos worldwide without modification.
Although this seal requires standard disassembly of the pump to install, Flexaseal has trained dozens of operators and mechanics to complete the install in-house. In addition to the time and money this saves your facility, Flexaseal is a big supporter of AALSO’s continued education initiatives for this industry and encourages institutions to have this type of work conducted in-house.

3. Upgraded OEM Component Seal
Last but not least, we provide an upgraded version of the OEM component seal that the industry is used to. This drop-in replacement seal has the same installation requirements as the original.
However, like the RBX cartridge seal, our replacement component seal differs from the original Fybroc® component seal, in that it features an integrated split collar under the set screws. Typically, each time a new seal goes onto your impeller/integrated sleeve, you put small blemishes into the fiberglass which can potentially damage the O-ring and compromise the new seal. With our split collar, the sleeve is spared and your expensive impeller/sleeve will not be damaged.
Be sure and sign up for the seal workshop by Matt Jensen, and stop by Booth 109 for recommendations on how your facility can save thousands of dollars on needless repair bills. Flexaseal is committed to this industry like no other seal manufacturer, as we’ve literally been in your shoes. We design our seals around solving the challenges you face every day and are committed to saving you valuable money and time.
